Watercolor Painting

If you want to capture the beauty and radiance of watercolor even if you’ve never painted before, this is the course for you! Join local artist, Dana Wiggins, and explore the exciting world of watercolor as she guides you through the essential techniques and concepts of watercolor painting. You’ll learn to use your watercolor materials to create washes, work wet-into-wet, suggest value changes, establish color and light, execute stunning compositions and much more. You’ll have fun completing four small paintings and a number of exercises while learning about color, style, value, detail and overall composition. You will enjoy trying a variety of techniques which will include layering, saving whites, controlling edges and adding depth for an outstanding introduction into the possibilities of the medium. If you’ve always wanted to watercolor like the pros, this if the perfect introductory course! Register early to receive a list of supplies you’ll need.

Notes:Don't forget to bring a plastic water container, paper towels, pencil, ruler and small notebook PLUS the $45 to the instructor for your brushes, paint, etc.
