In the time it takes you to read this information, Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) will have claimed another victim. Statistics show that over 300,000 Americans die of SCA every year. Up to 50,000 of these deaths could have been prevented if someone on scene had initiated the Cardiac Chain of Survival and an automated external defibrillator (AED) had been available for immediate use at the time of the emergency. This OSHA approved Red Cross course gives participants in and out of the workplace the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and care for injuries and sudden illnesses. Instruction includes Adult CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training for victims of sudden cardiac arrest. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a 1-year certificate in Adult CPR/AED.
